Our 20th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday was our biggest event ever.  We had hundreds of customers and friends join us for a lot of fun, good food, terrific deals on gear and - best of all - a ton of free stuff!

Thanks to all who made this day so special for us. Dan and Gary from The Quake 102.5 FM kicked things off with a rockfest in out parking lot and kept us laughing the whole morning.  We've got some special "shout outs" to Mike Madlener from Fender and Mike Smith from Roland and Boss, who spent the day talking to customers about the best musical geat on the planet.  These guys drove from Portalnd/Seattle, showed up early and stayed until almost the very end with a break.  You guys rock!

And a ton of thanks to all our business partners who donated gear for our prize drawings and the Shred Contest - ESP Guitars, Fender, Roland, Yamaha, Line 6, Fishman, Chesbro Music, Godin Guitars, Shure, Aquarian Drumheads, Sabian, C.F. Martin . . . and others that I'm forgetting right now.

Anniversary Celebration Giveaways Are Piling Up!

Garey Williams Drum Clinic - May 18

May is Our 20th Anniversary! It's a Celebration!

This month marks the 20th anniversary of Avalon Music opening its doors to North Central Washington.  Check out our story.  Although we'll be celebrating all month with some daily deals, our real celebration is on May 18 and May 19.

On Friday evening, May 18, at 6:00 pm, Avalon Music will be kicking-off the celebration with a drumset clinic with recording artist and drummer extraordinaire Garey Williams.  Garey is endorsed by Vic Firth, LP, Remo. Sabian and DW, and you’ll learn why.  He is an incredible educator and a truly gifted percussionist.  There is a $5 admission fee that’s good for $5 off on any Avalon Music purchase of $25 or more.  Plus, there will be door prizes, including a cymbal from Sabian.  Garey’s clinics have always been standing room only, so please call and reserve a spot.

The real party is all day on Saturday, May 19, with hot dogs on the BBQ and soda pop.  We’ll have manufacturing representatives there to give you the latest information on all their products – and special pricing on everything in the store.

Line 6 StageScape and StageSource PA Gear! Wow!

This week we had a chance to sit down with our very cool and extremely talented sales representative from Line 6 and he took us through a demo of the new Line 6 StageScape digital mixer and StageSource active speakers.  We were blown away!  It is easy to see why the StageScape digital mixer won the new product category at NAMM.  This gear is revolutionary and will change the way we all "do live sound."  

The StageScape interface is an absolutely huge touch screen, which displays a stage (your choice of what you want the stage to look like).  As you plug in mic cables there are icons showing microphone stands, keyboards, guitars, drumsets added to the stage display.  Adjusting inputs, EQ, compression, limiting, FX for each channel is just a touch of the screen and, of course, can be saved as individual settings or the entire setup can be saved as a scene.  Plus, you can record 16 tracks to a USB flash or drive, or to an SD card. (There's even 20 seconds of 16 track internal recording so you can record a portion of the sound check and continue adjustments without the band.)  And if you want to be mobile, you can control the StageScape wirelessly through up to five - yes, five - iPads.

Yamaha DXR Sound Reinforcement

Korg SV-1 - Wow!

The extremely cool Korg SV-1 has arrived in an 88 key model.  The keyboard action feels awesome, the sounds are unbelievable and the interface is absolutely a breeze because it is analog.  (No deep menus to navigate.  It's all switches and knobs.

New Fender Super Champ X2 Rocks!

The most versatile amplifier Fender has ever made WAS the Super Champ XD.  Incredbile tones all in a compact tube amp.  The Super Champ XD has become a "cult amp" with a huge following on YouTube.  Check out all the homegrown Super Champ XD videos on how to set-up or how to complete mods.  Awesome stuff!
